Yesterday I attended to Wisata Ruhani in Masjid
Kampus UNDIP, the topic was What
is Be My Valentine mean? with
Ustadz Burhan Sodiq
Firstly He told us about the origins of
Valentine's Day inevitably encounter the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia.
I have read about that many times. But, I get
more interesting when Ustadz explained What is Be My Valentine mean? Valentine is
a Latin means Most Merciful, Most Gracious, or The Mighty.
So, if you ask someone to be your
valentine, it means you assosiate 'that'
person with ALLAH SWT.
Allah says " Verily,
joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zulm (wrong)
indeed. " - (Surah Luqman : 13)
and this one
Allah says " Indeed, he who
associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge
is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers." -(Surah
Al-Maidah : 72)
That is the worst crime a person can
commit i.e. associating partners with Allah SWT, and it deserves the
severest of punishments. Thus Allah SWT has forbidden
Paradise for such and has chosen Hellfire as
their eternal abode, and their
will be no helper or protector for such
wrongdoers.
Please don't if you
want Allah's paradise :)
